General Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion only applies to customers holding a Principal Card or Supplementary Card of the credit card (including UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card) or Co-brand Card ("Eligible Card") issued by Dah Sing Bank, Limited ("the Bank")("Eligible Cardholders"). The Bank's Cash Card, Corporate Card, Purchasing Card, Business Card, Gift Card, Private Label Card, "Smart Choice" Balance Transfer Program Account and Cash Conversion Plan Account are not eligible. Some participating merchants ("Participating Merchants") of the Promotion do not accept payment with UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card. Please contact the Participating Merchants for details.
  2. Eligible Online Spending and Eligible Foreign Currency Spending refer to any online transactions or foreign currency transactions made by an Eligible Card during the Promotion Period (as defined under clause 1 of the Terms and Conditions of "Online and Foreign Currency Spending Promotion") (collectively known as "Eligible Transactions") as stated below:
    a. "Eligible Online Spending" refers to the local or overseas retail transactions made online and settled in Hong Kong Dollars or any other currency, including mobile payment transactions (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay™, Samsung Pay) settled via merchant's mobile application but excluding Ineligible Spending referred to in clause 3 of these General Terms and Conditions below;
    b. "Eligible Foreign Currency Spending" refers to the online or retail transactions settled in any currency except Hong Kong Dollars and the Ineligible Spending as referred to in clause 3 of these General Terms and Conditions below.
  3. "Ineligible Spending" refers to the transactions of settling bills online and other transactions including but is not limited to designated mobile transfer and top-up transactions (including but not limited to PayMe, TNG and Alipay), UnionPay App, WeChat Pay, cash advances, autopay, recurring billing transactions (e.g. Octopus Automatic Add Value Service, Autotoll Automatic Top-up Service), "Happy Installment" payments, Cash-In Plan payments, branch cash-in payments, Stock Investment Savings Plans, balance transfers, "Payeasy" bill payment amounts, tax payments, "JET payment" amounts, interest-free monthly installments, gift redemption fees, cheque payments, bank handling fees (including but not limited to annual fees, financial charges, late fees and cash advance handling fees, etc), casino transactions, unposted/cancelled/refunded/unauthorized/charge back transactions and any other transaction as designated by the Bank from time to time.
  4. The Eligible Transactions made by an Eligible Cardholder with the Eligible Card(s) under his/her name (including Principal Card(s) and Supplementary Card(s)) will be combined. Any decimal place for any Eligible Transaction amount will be rounded down to the nearest integer.
  5. The eligibility of online or foreign currency transactions is determined by the Bank, card associations (i.e. VISA International, MasterCard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited, UnionPay International) or the merchant code and spending category by merchant's acquiring bank as defined from time to time. Eligible Transactions shall be determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the Bank. The Bank shall not be liable to determine the eligibility of any transactions before they are made by the Eligible Cardholder. The Eligible Transactions conducted at the RMB account of the Bank's UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card will be converted to Hong Kong Dollars based on the conversion rate of 1:1.2 and combined with the Hong Kong Dollars account of the card.
  6. Foreign currency transactions shall be automatically converted into Hong Kong Dollars on the date the relevant transactions are processed at rates determined by the relevant card associations (if applicable). For details of service charges related to foreign currency transactions, please refer to "List of Service Charges for Dah Sing Credit Card/Private Label Card" issued by the Bank.
  7. This Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with any other online or foreign currency promotions as may be launched from time to time.
  8. The Eligible Cardholder must also be a member of the Participating Merchants' programmes. Please refer to the Participating Merchants for the registration details. The personal data of Eligible Cardholders may be collected by Participating Merchants and the use of such personal data is subject to the Personal Information Collection Statement issued by the relevant Participating Merchants. Please refer to the Participating Merchants for details (if applicable).
  9. All cash rebates or bonus rewards ("Rewards") cannot be transferred to third parties or other accounts, or exchanged for cash or any other gifts, returned or exchanged for other products or services or for settling the statement balance of credit card account (if applicable).
  10. The Bank will use its transaction record to determine the eligibility of an Eligible Cardholder. The relevant Eligible Card should remain as valid and in good credit standing during the entire Promotion Period and when the Rewards are granted. The relevant Eligible Transactions must be posted.
  11. Eligible Cardholder is required to keep records of relevant online or foreign currency transactions. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right to require the Eligible Cardholder to submit relevant documents or proofs for verification purpose. Submitted documents or proofs will not be returned. The decision of the Bank regarding the eligibility of relevant transactions shall be final.
  12. In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal/cancellation/charge back of transactions in respect of which the relevant Rewards are awarded, the Bank reserves the right to debit the equivalent amount of the Rewards from the Eligible Cardholder's credit card account without prior notice.
  13. Any offers under this Promotion shall be terminated immediately in the event that the Participating Merchant ceases its business (if applicable).
  14. All photos, product prices and product information that relate to the offers under this Promotion are provided by the Participating Merchants and are for reference purposes only. Such offers are governed by the relevant terms and conditions issued by the Participating Merchants. For details, please contact the Participating Merchants.
  15. The Bank and Participating Merchants reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel or amend this Promotion at any time without prior notice. For details, please contact the Participating Merchants. Should any disputes arise, the decision of the Bank and the Participating Merchants shall be final and conclusive.
  16. These terms and conditions shall form part of any applicable agreements governing the use of Eligible Cards and shall be construed accordingly. In case of any conflict between these terms and conditions and such agreements, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
  17. In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese version and English version of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.


Terms and Conditions for "Online and Foreign Currency Spending Promotion":

  1. The promotion period is from 16 March to 31 December 2020 (both dates inclusive)("Promotion Period") and will be divided into 3 phases as below. Spending is calculated based on relevant transaction dates as recorded by the Bank:
    i. "Phase 1": 16 March to 30 June 2020
    ii. "Phase 2": 1 July to 30 September 2020
    iii. "Phase 3": 1 October to 31 December 2020
  2. Registration period is from 16 March to 31 December 2020 (both dates inclusive) ("Registration Period") and is divided into 3 phases which are the same as the 3 Phases of the Promotion Period as set out in clause 1 of this section above. An Eligible Cardholder is required to successfully register for each phase at the Bank's website (www.dahsing.com/card/ofx/en) during the Registration Period ("Registration"), and fulfil the relevant spending requirement during the Promotion Period stated in clauses 5 and 8 of this section below to enjoy the relevant cash rebate starting from the registration month of each phase (Registration and spending from 16 March to 31 March 2020 will be combined with April 2020). This Promotion is applicable to the first 10,000 successfully registered Eligible Cardholders per phase. Registration quota applies and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration date and validity are based on the Bank's record. Please mark down the "Registration Reference Number" as assigned upon successful Registration or you may check it at Spending Enquiry via the Bank's website (www.dahsing.com/card/ofx/en).
  3. An Eligible Cardholder who successfully registers in Phase 1 and fulfils the spending requirements in Phase 1 will be entitled to the relevant Rewards for Phase 1. If an Eligible Cardholder fulfils the spending requirements in Phase 1 to Phase 3 but only successfully registers in Phase 1 and 2, the Eligible Cardholder will be entitled to relevant Rewards for Phase 1 and Phase 2 only, and so on.
  4. If an Eligible Cardholder holds more than one Eligible Card, he/she is only required to register once in each phase within the Registration Period with any one of his/her Eligible Principal Cards. Registration of Supplementary Card or RMB account of UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card is not accepted for this Promotion. The Bank will not issue any notification if an Eligible Cardholder fails to register successfully due to provision of incorrect information.
  5. For "Up to 6% Cash Rebate" offer ("Cash Rebate "), a successfully registered Eligible Cardholder is required to fulfil below monthly transaction count requirement of a single Eligible Online Spending with spending amount of HK$500 or above (or its equivalent) ("Designated Eligible Online Spending") with his/her Eligible Card (including Principal and Supplementary Cards) during the Promotion Period in order to enjoy the Cash Rebate:

  7. For Eligible Cardholder who has successfully registered and fulfilled the spending requirement (as specified in clause 5 of this section), the relevant Cash Rebate will be credited to the Eligible Cardholder's Principal Card account with the latest spending record during the Promotion Period in the form of Dah Sing Credit Card free spending credit in or before September 2020 (applicable to Phase 1), in or before December 2020 (applicable to Phase 2) and in or before March 2021 (applicable to Phase 3), and will be shown on the monthly statement of the respective following months. The Cash Rebate will be used for settlement of new transaction(s). Any decimal place for Cash Rebate amount will be rounded up to the nearest integer.
  8. For "Bonus Reward · Dah Sing JourneySure Travel Insurance Plan" offer ("Bonus Reward"), a successfully registered Eligible Cardholder is required to accumulate a single Eligible Foreign Currency Spending with each spending amount equivalent to a value of HK$500 or above("Designated Eligible Foreign Currency Spending"), to a designated amount as set out below in each phase during the Promotion Period in order to enjoy the Bonus Reward:

  9. With the assigned Registration Reference Number, an Eligible Cardholder can redeem the Bonus Reward within the designated redemption period as specified below by completing the "Bonus Reward · Dah Sing JourneySure Travel Insurance Plan" Redemption Form ("Redemption Form" ) via the Bank' s website (www.dahsing.com/card/ofx/en):

  10. Each Bonus Reward is only applicable to one round trip between Hong Kong and planned destination of individual plan with maximum travel period of 8 days coverage. The travel destination is applicable to worldwide and the place of departure must be from Hong Kong.   11. Each Eligible Cardholder (including all the Principal and Supplementary Eligible Card(s) under his/her name) is entitled to a maximum of 2 Bonus Rewards in each phase and a maximum of 6 Bonus Rewards during the entire Promotion Period. Overlapping travel periods is not allowed under the same insured person. In case of overlapping travel periods, the latter policy enrolled will be voided and the Bank will not provide an alternative Reward. The insured person of a Bonus Reward can be the Eligible Cardholder or his/her spouse, child, parents or parents-in-law; the proposer must be the Eligible Cardholder who successfully submits the Redemption Form within 60 calendar days at the earliest and 10 calendar days at the latest before the departure. After successful registration, a "Policy Confirmation Email" will be sent by Dah Sing Insurance Company (1976) Limited ("Dah Sing Insurance") to the email address provided in the Redemption Form within 10 calendar days. In any circumstances, Dah Sing Insurance and the Bank shall not be liable for any failure of delivery of Policy Confirmation Email (including but not limited due to the cardholder failing to register a valid email address) and will not re-issue the Policy Confirmation Email.
  12. If an Eligible Cardholder has redeemed the Bonus Reward but fails to meet the designated spending requirement of Bonus Reward as specified in clause 8 , an administration fee of HK$250 per redeemed Bonus Reward will be debited from the Eligible Cardholder's Principal Card account with the latest spending record during the Promotion Period in or before September 2020 (applicable to Phase 1), in or before December 2020 (applicable to Phase 2) and in or before March 2021 (applicable to Phase 3) without prior notice.
  13. JourneySure Travel Insurance Plan is underwritten by Dah Sing Insurance, which is solely responsible for all coverage and compensation, but not the product of the Bank. The personal data collected under this Promotion will be destroyed within 6 months upon completion of the Bonus Reward fulfillment of this Promotion.
