Terms & Conditions:
  1. The offer applies to customers opening a HKD Fixed Deposit account with new funds of HK$100,000 or above for a tenor of at least six months from 19 August to 30 September, 2008 (both days inclusive) (the "Promotion Period"). Only customers fulfilling these criteria are eligible for the respective rewards (either gifts or cash rewards). Eligibility for the rewards is subject to the minimum amount of deposit listed in the above table. For inquiries, please contact Dah Sing Bank staff at the branches or call our Customer Service Hotline.
  2. The fixed deposit has to be made with new funds where new funds are defined as fund newly deposited at Dah Sing Bank (the "Bank") using a cheque drawn on other bank, inward CHATS or T/T during the Promotion Period. For clarification of the definition of new fund, please contact the Bank staff. In case of any disputes in relation to the definition of new fund, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  3. Each eligible fixed deposit confirmation can enjoy additional 0.25% preferential interest rate on top of the bank's board rate. Besides, it can be used to redeem one gift or respective cash reward. In the event of a joint account, only one of the account holders can enjoy the aforementioned rewards.
  4. If customers select cash rewards, they must open a Dah Sing i-Account at Dah Sing Bank for the deposit of the relevant cash rewards ("Cash Rewards Settlement Account"). Cash rewards will be deposited to the designated account on or before 31 October, 2008. Account holder of the Cash Rewards Settlement Account and any one of the respective fixed deposit account holders should be the same person. Please refer to promotional leaflets or contact the bank staff for more details about the Cash Rewards Settlement Account.
  5. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers of fixed deposit.
  6. After customer placed the eligible fixed deposit, our branch staff will give customer the respective gift redemption letter or cash rewards confirmation letter immediately. To redeem the gifts, customer should present the redemption letter and go to the designated redemption centre during the designated periods printed on the letter.
  7. Preferential interest rate does not apply to fixed deposit renewals. The fixed deposit interest rate upon renewal is to be determined according to the Bank's designated fixed deposit interest rate at the time of renewal. Fixed Deposit interest rates fluctuate daily. Please contact the bank staff for the latest rates.
  8. In the event of early redemption of a fixed deposit account pertaining to the promotion, customers need to pay handling fees for early redemption and forfeit all interest derived from the deposit. In addition, the Bank reserves the right to debit the amount equivalent to the value of gifts listed above or cash rewards given to the customers from the fixed deposit account without prior notice.
  9. The Bank is not the supplier of the gifts. Customers who wish to inquire or complain about the quality of products or services should contact the suppliers concerned directly. The Bank shall assume no liability. Gifts are of limited supply and are available only while stocks last. Photos of gifts are for reference only. All gifts cannot be exchanged for cash or other gifts. The Bank reserves the right to offer alternate gift if out of stock without prior notice.
  10. The above listed value of gifts is not assigned by the Bank and it is for reference only. The Bank shall assume no liability at the difference between the above listed value and the retail price of the captioned gifts at the market.
  11. The Bank reserves the right to amend the above terms and conditions and amend or terminate any of the above offers at anytime without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  12. Should there by any discrepancy between the English version and Chinese version of these documents, the English version shall prevail.
